Big Brother Canada renewed for Season 8

Big Brother Canada has been renewed for an eighth season, Global announced on Thursday.

The official show Twitter account tweeted “Thank you for seven great seasons” before host Arisa Cox confirmed the renewal in a 53-second video.

The news comes following the highest rated season in show history, which saw Dane Rupert be crowned the winner. The season seven finale attracted 1.2 million viewers and the season overall averaged 1.1 million, both series highs.
