Big Brother Canada evictions will go ahead without a studio audience

Evictions for Big Brother Canada season 8 will not feature a studio audience until further notice in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Insight Productions have said.

In order to limit public contact in the show, Big Brother Canada have begun to contact ticket holders to inform them of the change.

“As a precautionary measure with respect to COVID-19, we will be suspending audiences from attending live tapings of Big Brother Canada,” the message read.

“Sorry for any inconvenience. We hope you continue to enjoy this season of Big Brother Canada.”

Big Brother Canada isn’t the only version of the show to be affected by the outbreak.

Big Brother USA has recently postponed all open casting calls for the upcoming 22nd season, with casting director Robyn Kass tweeting that they don’t currently know if they will be rescheduled:

Grande Fratello VIP in Italy have briefed all housemates on the situation and given them the option of either remaining in the house or exiting the series. Live evictions will also go ahead until further notice with no studio audience.

Other editions of the show in Australia, Germany, Brazil, Israel and Sweden, which are currently in production are yet to publicly announce any changes to the format.
