Big Brother Canada is BACK! Coming to CTV and Crave in 2027
In a bombshell announcement dropped today (June 4, 2026), Bell Media has confirmed it is bringing Big Brother Canada back from the dead – and taking Big Brother USA from Global at the same time!
Following a deal with Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of media powerhouse Banijay Entertainment, Bell Media will air future seasons of Big Brother USA on CTV and Crave beginning Summer 2027. And in a massive bonus for Canadian fans, the network has simultaneously ordered a brand new season of Big Brother Canada, also heading to Crave and CTV.
If you’ve been missing your BBCAN fix since Global unceremoniously cancelled the show after Season 12 in 2024, the wait is almost over. The new season will be produced by Entourage — the same team behind the beloved French-language series Big Brother Célébrités — in association with Crave and CTV, with production set to begin Spring 2027 in Montréal. Taking the hosting reins is Andrea Bain, co-host of CTV’s daytime show The Social, with casting details still to be announced.
The Montreal connection is no coincidence. Because Entourage already produces Big Brother Célébrités for Bell Media’s French-language network, there’s already a Big Brother house in the city — making a more sustainable production model possible and, reportedly, what made reviving the show viable in the first place after Global pulled the plug two years ago.
For fans of the US version, the news is just as welcome. Canadians have long had to jump through hoops to watch Big Brother USA — but from Summer 2027 it will have a proper home on CTV and Crave. Justin Stockman, VP of Global Content at Bell Media, called Big Brother “one of the most iconic and beloved formats around the world” and said the company is “thrilled to have it take up residency at Bell Media.”
This is huge. Big Brother Canada was cancelled just two years ago and many fans had written it off for good. Now it’s not only returning — it’s landing on a streaming platform alongside Canada’s biggest broadcast network, with the US version following it home. Cast the houseguests, fire up the feeds, and get ready. Big Brother is back in Canada.
